Know your Heli
Reading a Heli model code
Heli model codes follow the Chinese industry pattern. CP means a counterbalanced truck. The letters after it give the power source: C for diesel, Y for LPG, QY for gasoline/LPG dual fuel, and CPD on its own for battery-electric. The number is capacity in tenths of a tonne. A CPYD25 is a 2.5-tonne truck, the 5,000 lb class in U.S. terms, and a CPYD50 is the 10,000 lb class.
Engine parts go by the engine maker
Depending on the model and year, U.S.-market Heli trucks run GM, Mitsubishi, Kubota or Cummins engines. Filters, ignition parts, water pumps and gaskets are sourced by engine, and parts for those engines are easy to get. Send a photo of the engine tag with your model code.
Looking for a Heli dealer?
For a new Heli truck, warranty repairs or dealer service, you want an authorized dealer, and Heli America's website lists them. We are not a Heli dealer. We are an independent parts supplier. For the truck you already own, especially once it is out of warranty, we can usually get the part for less and tell you honestly when it will arrive.

A full model code carries a suffix after the dash, like CPQYD25-KU1G. Read us the whole thing, because the suffix narrows down how the truck was built.
Diagnose before you buy
Common Heli problems and where we would look first

| Waiting on a wear part | Filters, seals, brake parts and engine service parts are standard aftermarket items. Ask us for a date before you wait. |
| Will not start on LP | Regulator, lock-off and fuel filter first, then the ignition parts for your engine make. |
| Mast drifts down under load | Lift cylinder seals or the holding valve. |
| Brakes weak or pulling | Shoes and wheel cylinders, on both sides. |
| Electric truck cuts out | Battery connectors, cables and state of charge before the controller. |
