Why customers stay with us

What makes Herb Grady Company different

Family owned and operated

Herb Grady started this company in 1973. It passed to his son, then to his granddaughter Renee Heipley, who runs it today — with the fourth generation already in the building. That is why we still know which parts last and which ones come back.

Service that answers the phone

You get a person who knows material handling equipment, not a queue position. We help you diagnose before you buy, we tell you honestly when a part is backordered, and we call you back when we say we will.

Low overhead, passed straight through

We are not carrying a national sales force, a showroom or a marketing department. Our cost structure is lean on purpose, and the difference shows up on your invoice instead of somebody's quarterly target.

The people behind it

Grandfather, father, daughter

Herb Grady opened this company in 1973 in Buena Park, California. It passed to his son, and then to Renee Heipley — who grew up in the building, doing homework behind the counter, learning part numbers from her grandfather and then working alongside her dad.

That is why the customer comes first here in a way that is hard to fake. When your family's name is on the sign and has been for fifty years, you do not sell somebody a part you know will fail.

How ordering works

Three steps, no account required

  1. 1

Call or send the part number

Have the make, model and serial number handy. If you do not have a part number, describe what the machine is doing — that is usually enough.

  2. 2

    We cross-reference and quote

We check the TVH catalog and our own shelves, confirm the part fits your serial range, and give you a price and a realistic lead time.

  3. 3

    We ship it out

Most in-stock items ship the same day. We confirm the carrier and the date before anything leaves, so you know when to expect it.

Questions we get every week

Who is Herb Grady Company?
Herb Grady Company is a family-owned supplier of aftermarket parts for forklifts, pallet jacks, floor sweepers and scrubbers, and golf carts. Herb Grady founded the company in 1973 in Buena Park, California; it moved to Corona in the 1970s and to its current home in Lake Elsinore in 2020. It passed from Herb to his son to his granddaughter Renee Heipley, who owns it today. We are an authorized supplier of TVH parts.
What kinds of equipment do you supply parts for?
Four main categories: forklift parts, pallet jack parts (manual and electric), floor sweeper and scrubber parts, and golf cart parts. Within those we cover every major brand.
Do I need an account to order?
No. We sell to national fleet accounts and to individuals with one machine. There is no minimum order and no application to fill out before someone will talk to you.
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
We are based in Lake Elsinore, California — and have been since 2020, after five decades in Buena Park and Corona. We serve Riverside and San Bernardino counties and the wider Inland Empire — including Lake Elsinore, Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, Perris, Corona, Riverside — and we ship parts nationwide.
What makes you different from a dealer parts department?
Three things: we are family owned and have been for four generations, you talk to a person who knows the equipment, and our overhead is low enough that the savings actually reach your invoice. A dealer parts department has a building, a sales force and a corporate margin target to support. We have a phone and a shelf full of parts.
Are aftermarket parts safe to use on my equipment?
Yes, for the great majority of components. Quality aftermarket parts are built to the same specifications as the original and often by the same manufacturers. There are specific cases where we recommend OEM, and we say so rather than selling you the higher-margin option — the details are in our guide to aftermarket vs. OEM parts.

Know the part? Know the problem?

Either one is enough to start. Call the parts desk and talk to somebody who has held the part in their hand.
