Cat Forklift Parts

Cat lift trucks are built by Logisnext Americas, the company behind Mitsubishi forklifts, so many Cat parts are listed under a Mitsubishi model too. We supply parts for GC and GP trucks and older Cat models, cross-referenced both ways and shipped from Lake Elsinore.

Know your Cat

Who builds Cat lift trucks

In the Americas, Cat lift trucks come from Logisnext Americas in Houston, the company long known as Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America and, until 2026, Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas. The same company built Mitsubishi-branded forklifts, and many Cat and Mitsubishi models are sister trucks. A Cat GC25K and a Mitsubishi FGC25K are close relatives, for example. When a part is hard to find under one name, it is often listed under the other.

GC or GP: cushion or pneumatic

GC trucks run cushion tires for warehouse floors. GP trucks run pneumatic tires for yards and rough pavement. The number is the capacity class, so a GC25K is a 5,000 lb truck, and the letter after it is the generation. Parts change between generations, so read us the whole model and the serial number.

Engine parts follow the engine

Many Cat IC trucks run Mitsubishi engines. The GC25K and GP25K use the Mitsubishi 4G63, for example. Filters, ignition parts, water pumps and gaskets go by the engine, so a photo of the engine tag saves a phone call.

Older Cat models

Before the current naming, Cat sold trucks with model numbers like the 2C5000, a 5,000 lb cushion-tire truck that left production years ago. Plenty of them are still working, and the aftermarket still supports them.

How to read a Cat model
GC Gas or LP truck on cushion tires e.g. GC25K
GP Gas or LP truck on pneumatic tires e.g. GP25K
25 Capacity class: the 5,000 lb truck e.g. GC25K
K Generation. Parts change when it does e.g. GC25K
2C Older cushion-tire naming e.g. 2C5000

Straight answers

Cat forklift parts: your questions answered

Are Cat forklift parts the same as Mitsubishi parts?
Often. In the Americas, Cat lift trucks were built alongside Mitsubishi-branded trucks by the same company, and many models are sister trucks with shared components. Not every part crosses over, so we confirm by model and serial number.
Does Caterpillar make Cat forklifts?
Not directly. In North, Central and South America, Cat lift trucks are built and supported by Logisnext Americas in Houston, formerly Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas. That matters for parts, because many Cat trucks share components with Mitsubishi models.
What do GC and GP mean on a Cat forklift?
GC is a gas or LP truck on cushion tires, for smooth indoor floors. GP is the same idea on pneumatic tires, for yards and rough surfaces. The number is the capacity class and the trailing letter is the generation.
Can you get parts for older Cat forklifts?
Yes, including models that left production years ago, such as the 2C5000. Send the model and serial number from the data plate.
Are you a Cat dealer?
No. Herb Grady Company is an independent, family-owned parts supplier. New trucks and warranty work go through a Cat lift truck dealer. Parts for the trucks you already run, we can help with.

Cat on the mast, Mitsubishi underneath?

We cross-reference both. Call with the model and serial number.
